I love Jimi, my favorite album would have to be "Electric Ladyland" but my favorite song is "Little Wing" which can't be beat.

His final resting place is only about half an hour from my house in Renton, Washington.

I'd highly recommend it if you ever find yourself around Seattle, also check out the EMP, they have a huge Jimi Hendrix exhibit including his Woodstock and Monterey Pop Stratocasters.

Been there a couple times. I lived like a half hour away from there before I moved.

the Band of Gypsies was an obligatory record made by Hendrix to fulfil his earlier contract, he never performed it with a view of it being an "official" album

"First Rays of the Rising Sun" is closer to what Jimi would've wanted, than "Cry of Love", even then i'd still nitpick over the song choices
