I hear ya Duce. I only ask cause you said you knew how to play Lenny and even said it was easy. Was just curios to hear what the finished product of you covering it was like. I didn't find it all that easy myself but then again...it's only Stevie ray Vaughan. How hard can it be to play like Stevie right?

I think the thing with Hendrix isn't so much that he didn't know theory, it's that he didn't know terminology. I'd much rather hear someone like Hendrix in an interview talking about the difference between a lick that sounds like 'deedle-ee-dee-dee-doot-dee' vs. 'deedle-ee-doo-dee-doot-dah' as opposed to someone like Steve Vai musing about the subtle nuances between the Mixolodyian mode and Phrygian scales or whatever.

There's a reason I don't think anyone ever heard Hendrix refer to 'his' chord as a 'dominant seventh sharp ninth'. Pretty sure he just referred to it as the funky one that sounded cool. And ultimately, sounding cool is the ONLY thing that really matters.

Everything Jimi did was cool though. Had he talked about music in the form of technical terms...that would have been cool. He was just..THAT cool.

I think mr Dave is right, he just didn't know the technical terminology. I think he kinda just developed his own theory, or his own way of understanding how it worked.

Very nice cover. I like the finger-picking, it's always nice to see someone else who doesn't use a pick.

If you want to see some serious wanking, this is the cover to watch; it's acoustic as well. Saw this guy last year, pretty underrated.

.....Thats it..I quit! Lol. No pretty nice playing and I like how he ripped the strings off his guitar. Jimi would have been proud! This guy here always does pretty good covers as well.

He also covers Red House as well and makes it look so easy. Ive been trying to get better with the style of play he's doing. All his improvising is so concise, crisp and clean. I just cant get the hang of it and play the rythym too. I mean if someone else was playing rythym picking leads no problem. But the transitions between soloing and the rythym is nowhere near up to speed enough. I still struggle to even do the simple little blues rythym he has going that far down on the neck.

I love Jimi, my favorite album would have to be "Electric Ladyland" but my favorite song is "Little Wing" which can't be beat.

His final resting place is only about half an hour from my house in Renton, Washington.
