What does Rumors have to do with any of those? Not quite sure you listen to music for yourself more of a "because everyone else does" type of person. And Thriller was mediocre doesn't deserve half of the praise and Dark Side of The Moon wasn't Floyd at their finest. Led Zeppelin stole songs from other bands especially on IV. Most notably Stairway to Heaven which was stolen from Spirit's song Taurus.

Not really. It's overrated to the point where people like it just because other people like it. It's sad. At any rate what I'm trying to say is their older material was better.

Good lord.

And Spirit stole that chord progression from Davie Graham who stole it from a few classical composers who'd used it even earlier than 1959 when this was recorded. Try posting about something you actually know about next time.

Not sure what you're talking about but mine is a fact. Plant and Page admitted it. So did Spirit.

I win.

I can't find the interview with both quotes but here's an update on the lawsuit Spirit has filed on Led Zeppelin for stealing the intro. If you don't believe it then you're ignorant. You can defend them all you want but truth hurts. I threw away all my led Zeppelin stuff when I found this out years ago. As well as a LOT of other songs they blatantly stole.

It's one thing to make a riff that sounds like someone else's without prior knowledge as opposed to hearing something and deliberately trying to make it your own.

Did you really think a band puts out 3 albums in under 2 years was all original?

Hahaha

I've released 15 albums in 3 years time and I didn't rip anyone off.

How exactly does popularity affect the music creation process? I think they ripped them off as well but I think you're using some shoddy reasoning there. Another thing as well, Stairway's still a pretty great song, Taurus less so.

It's catchy as ****. There's a reason "Go Your Own Way" is one of the most overplayed songs in history. Cause it rules.
