I was just looking for a thread on him. Such a sad day. The best damn singing drummer I've ever seen. And another piece to the legendary band is gone.

Very sad news. Such a great drummer, one of the best ever, and the "carnal" voice of the band. I loved how he used an old kit with wooden rims on The Band (their second album), which can be seen in this video.

King harvest. Such a great band, one of the greatest, that doesn't get enough attention on this forum. Levon was such a great talent. Great drummer, amazing vocalist, mandolin players and guitar player.

I pulled in to Nazareth, was feeling 'bout half past dead. I just need some place where I can lay my head. "Hey, mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?"

Up in Rock and Roll Heaven - RIP Levon

Its a small regret that I never drove out to see a Midnight Ramble. His last two CD's were great.

As has been said; he is one of, if not the best, singing drummer from the 60's and 70's. The heart and soul of one of Canada's best groups, created 2 amazing albums and inspiring my favorite Elton John song...

Take a load off, Levon.
