Total bummer. Ward was essential to the Ozzy Sabbath years, especially for the great jazz style they had early on.

love both guitarists but i'd have to say jimmy page
jimmy page is just a more well rounded and versatile player to me and i think hes a better songwriter iommi's awesome and i love everything he's done but if you compare his body of work to page's i just think iommi has stuck more with the same thing while page would change his style up and a lot and incorporate lots of different things. nothing wrong with either one |

I was listening to 13 again today and while it's not Sabbath's best album, what stands out is Tony Iommi's guitar playing, which is always varied, fast, fluid, tasteful, individual and distinctive. Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler together have enough power to supply a major city.
