Black Sabbath were original?
On Zep`s 3rd album an entire side was acoustic.
At the time Ozzy was howling about being paranoid...
Acoustic doesn't make them original. Led Zeppelin stole riffs and lyrics from way more bands that Sabbath. I'm not even sure Sabbath stole riffs, they created them and other people have been using them.

Basically, it is subjective.
(Metal fans-look it up)
Which blues band didn`t use old blues riffs?
And you missed perhaps the most telling point of my previous post.
You wanna compare album sales/popularity/revelance to modern music?
Sabbath weren`t/aren`t at the races

You're not talking about album sales or popularity. You're talking about originality. You don't have to be popular to be original.

You're talking in circles and it's really confusing.

Black Sabbath invented doom metal

Led Zeppelin invented yelling the last word of every line in a verse

Um. Why don't you actually listen to the music and you'll understand why you're wrong.

Black Sabbath invented more riffs than Zeppelin stole.

As I said before-it is subjective.
You prefer Sabbath in all their howling/riffing glory.
Kind of sums it up, eh?

It's not subjective if their music says more than an opinion. The fact that Sabbath were the pioneers of Doom Metal says enough.

Iommi is simply better than Page. Difference is, it's created riffs vs stolen riffs.

The fact you promote Doom Metal speaks volumes.

Meh. This argument is pointless.
