Except if you're Tony Iommi.

I'm a fan of both of them. To me Jimmy Page was overall the better player, though Iommi was great Page was a step ahead of him.

Iommi was ahead by like 6 votes, surprisingly. I figured sooner or later page would take the lead.

I've spent far more time listening to Led Zeppelin than Black Sabbath, and Jimmy Page was more of an influence on me as a guitarist, so I decided to give Mr. Page my vote.

Going back to this, and please don`t misunderstand me, I ain`t no great guitar player.
But I play a bit (like most), know what I like and can`t understand why so many people prefer Black Sabbath.
In terms of originality, diversity and sheer talent, Zep were miles ahead.
They may not reflect the points I`ve made but check the album sales.

Ok, qualify that.
Black Sabbath were original?
On Zep`s 3rd album an entire side was acoustic.
At the time Ozzy was howling about being paranoid...
