Question Help, What is this song? 70's guitar song!

Hey everyone!

I was at Taco Bell with some friends one night when a song started playing over the radio. I didn't notice it at first, the music was pretty quiet, but all of a sudden I got up (unexpectedly according to my friends lol) and stood under one of the speakers in the building. It was nearing the end of the song, but I could make out the lyrics "We are the... (blank)" and "It's time to go... (blank)". It sounded 70's-ish to me. The melody of the song was by a guitar, I can't play guitar, but I played what I remember it sounding like on the piano. Please help me out on this one! I love the song, and can't find it

I think it was a pretty well known song. The guitar part sounds a lot like Eric Clapton's version of "Layla" by Derek & The Dominos, maybe the songs sampled mildly off each other?

I can't post the url yet, just get on YouTube and search "Aarontheman38" it's the one on the bottom with the piano keys in the picture!

Thanks so much!

-Aaron
