Maybe we should set parameters you can follow. There are bands on that list I personally don't like, so I won't comment on them (like Cream) but I'd love to see the direction that lead you to the outlandish assertion that

Jam
Triumph
Kings X
A-ha (****ing really?)
Or BMRC, who I like, but are BETTER than the Police?

I've been around music nerds enough to know an ulterior motive when I smell one. Whats the trouble, brother? Did a Trustafarian try to tell you on saving the rain forest while "Desert Rose" was playing in the background?

You should see the other lists!
Of which, you're on at least two others.
Delicious.

I hope one of them is the "would wear his/her skin like a wetsuit" list. I've been moisturizing just for you.

I`ll ignore the braindead hogwash diatribe of what you`ve written above and just concentrate on the bands that you`ve mentioned ok!

For starters anybody into hard rock is probably going to enjoy both Triumph and Kings X far more than the Police anyway. Jam were most definitely better and I`m no big Jam fan either. BRMC need you really ask and as for A-ha, well I do like pop and I`d sooner listen to them singing "hunting high and low" than Sting blurting out "de do do do, de da da da"

As for parameters you failed to set any really, so again I`ll let you set parameters that you can easily follow.

Alright so the parameters then were just "Whatever the hell I prefer." You chose one Police song you didn't like, and then tried to shoot arrows at me.

I don't blame your for your opinion, or the right to have one. But I do blame you for walking into a thread, where you knew we were discussing a band you didn't like, and pretending that your contrarian will and preference would hold water.

I take this as free and open license to go into a BMRC thread and explain why they were nothing more the Aerosmith rip-offs.

I also prefer the Jam to The Police. Thats not saying i consider them technically more gifted then the police as i think Stewart Copeland is one of the greatest all around drummers in rock/pop history. The rest of your list is quite laughable though.

Normally, I don`t go into a thread to brazenly attack a band at least not without giving some reasons as to why. In this case I didn`t actually enter and attack the Police, I just said I could name twenty 3-piece bands that were better and imo I still hold these bands to be better as well.

A lot of the time, some of the best discussion on these boards comes from random musical thoughts anyway and the Police remark was one such remark. I know the Police discography pretty well and I think that makes my opinion as valid as anyone else`s on here.

And I`m sure you`re old enough to defend yourself against a few flying arrows!

There was nothing technical about the Jam anyway and I`m not questioning the ability of the Police as musicians either just how they sound.

As for your thoughts on the rest of my list, please expand on those thoughts!
