Favourite member: Don Henley

Favourite song: Wow, well I love "Desperado", though "There's a train leaves here this morning" is great, and I absolutely love some of the stuff off "Long road out of Eden", like "Waiting in the weeds", the title and the incomparable "No more walks in the woods" (instruments? We don' need no steenking instruments!), then of course there's "Lyin' eyes", "Take it to the limit", the wonderful instrumental "Journey of the sorcerer" (which was used as the theme for the TV series "The hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy"), all of Hotel California.... nah, impossible to choose. Ask me another question.

Favourite album you say? I think maybe, for sheer (making up words now) comebackability, "Long road of out Eden", though it's a close run thing between that and "Hotel California". And "Desperado".

I'm going to stop writing now...

For me, it's gotta be "One of These Nights." There's just something hot about
that song. Combine Don Henley's lead vocal, with the lyrics and beat, and to me, it's The Eagles at their best.

I'm amazed that so many people pick Joe Walsh on here, I think when he joined the Eagles the world of rock lost a unique talent in its own right doing his own thing either solo or with the James Gang, in the Eagles he just played second fiddle to Henley and Frey.

What's amazing, is that it's probably one of the few songs he ever sung with the Eagles.

I have to strongly disagree.

He didn't stop doing solo work.

In fact, Walsh only did 2 records with the Eagles before the "reunion". In between Hotel California and the Long Run , he released his biggest hit "Life's Been Good" on arguably his most popular album "But Seriously Folks". His stint with The Eagles did not hinder Mr. Walsh's solo output at all.

As for the OP:
