I feel like I heard this song when I was a little kid, but that's pretty unlikely.

I know what you mean! I was born March 1991, yet the only music I love is from the 80's! I should have been born in the mid 70's, that way I could grow up through the 80's!

the ONLY music you like is from the 80s? Why? What's wrong with music from the 60s, 70s, 90s and now?

I shouldn't say only, I do listen to other music, I just really have a thing for 80's music! It started up when I bought my first car, a 1992 Camaro. It's an 80's body style and everything about it screams 80's. I loved cruising around it it listening to Def Leppard, Scorpions, Pat Benetar, Iron Maiden, The Fixx, etc, etc, and from there on, I started watching Knight Rider, and I developed a "thing" for 80's stuff

80s hair metal *shudder*

80s had some good, but it was littered with so much shit. Like most decades I guess, but 80s even more so.

I wonder if I would have even discovered the music I like from the 80s and 90s if I had grown up in it.......doubtful.

So what? Music stopped being good in the 70s? The 80s? early 90s?

You don't HAVE TO listen to crap like Justin Bieber, you simply take the good with the bad. And choose to listen to the good, whilst avoiding the bad.

90s was a brilliant decade for music, the 00s was a good decade for America (Britain didn't have too much going though.) There's always been great music. It just so happens we were born in a generation where we have all that music to our disposal. This thread kind of annoys me.

Because technology is better than it's ever been means that bands can make their studio work sound better than they do live, I don't see the problem with that. Music is still about having talent, the 80s were brilliant as were the 90s and 00s were good. You just have to ignore the rubbish, and focus on the good. Music didn't stop being good in 1979.

I've only ever heard 40 seconds of a Justin Bieber song, something with 'baby' in it. Then I turned it off. Music doesn't tend to follow me around, I never quite get how it follows some people around. But it does seem to.

It's not about testing new guys, I just think there's so many decades worth of music out there. And so many genres out there. And I find it really irritating that people can just write them off, I see people mainly writing stuff off because of ignorance. I'm not being aggressive, it's just my posting style I think. I'm quite blunt in that way, I'm a softy really.

I use the 'New Posts' function. I click every thread, even if it's just to get rid of it from the 'New Posts' feed. If something catches my eye, I'll reply. Regardless of whether it makes me mad. Is that okay with you?

Who are some of your favourite artists? I'm guessing you like quite a bit of Classic Rock? The Beatles, The Doors, Floyd etc.
