John (and Paul.)
It's really hard to choose for me.
John, probably, for his wit and abilities. Behind his rough exterior was such talent. He had a way with the lyrics. Paul, as well, because of his charm and his keen sense of melody. So, it doesn't get much better with the two of them combined. |

Among the four - John Lennon.
Through their entire history - Stu. He could not play, but he could paint, and he was a catalyst for much of what happened to them, especially John. They could have been just another visiting band in the Hamburg club circuit, but Stu's art ambitions led them to meet more interesting people and his style did spark something special. |

Neither was Ringo a bad drummer by any stretch of the imagination. I don't know why thinking Ringo was a better instrumentalist should be taken as an insult, Ringo was a very damn good drummer. I never said Lennon wasn't a great rhythm guitarist.
