Default The Doors Box Set!

Is everyone as excited as I am for the release of The Doors' new box set today? I heard it's a 6-disc release (yes, SIX!!)--- and includes 4 performances (in their entirety!) from the band's shows at the Felt Forum in New York City in 1970. SOO pumped to get this -- is work over yet so I can head to Amoeba to get mine? AHHH!!!

Long live The Doors!!

I've heard some bootleg tapes of the Felt Forum show and they're fantastic. I don't think the Doors were ever given credit for being a great live band because they didn't have a virtuoso instrumentalist like Hendrix, Clapton, or Garcia in the band but the Doors didn't need a virtuoso because they had Jim.

Jim made the Doors live performaces as varied and intresting the best improvisational bands because of his incindiary talents as an agitprop performance artist.

Thumbs up The Doors

Got the box set myself, if you want at least another 20 different live peformances, search up, 'the doors live' on Rapidshare, you'll find a bucketload of bootlegs, many not be the best quality, still a charm to listen to.
