I know I've not seen one shred of evidence from any Beatles fan that disproves anything I stated in the first post*

*Keeps thread alive for another 7 years

Yeah I mean there's no contest.

1. Keith Richards , coolest guitarist on the planet
-Will give you Keef.

2. Mick Jagger , greatest frontman of all time.
Well, he can`t sing, can`t dance and can`t play an instument well.Apart from that......

3. Yoko Ono or Marianne Faithful ,back in the 60s who would you rather have been seen on the arm with ?
Probably Patti Boyd or Jane Asher

4. Songs about sex , drugs , deprevation , heartache , rejection , revenge & decadence are better than kiddie love songs & mystical bollocks.
Beatles - Wrote chart friendly pop songs & ballads. Stones wrote gritty hard rock songs
-Total generalisation. The Beatles wrote songs about exactly the same subjects. Gritty hard rock -(about sex and drugs, revenge etc)-Helter Skelter, Get Back, Don`t let me Down, I Want You.Also Power to the People, God, etc

5. The Beatles had to have their faces on album covers , The Stones could stick a picture of a toilet on theirs & still have it sell millions.
But not as many millions as the Beatles sold.

6. Stones - The 70s , Exile On Main Street, Sticky Fingers, It`s Only Rock n Roll
Beatles - The 70s , Wings , Yoko Ono`s songwriting & Ringo Starr solo albums *shudder*
The Beatles weren`t functioning as a band in the 70s, so the argument is redundant. A comparison of say, Bill Wyman`s solo stuff with McCartney`s or Jagger`s with Lennon`s is more relevant.

7. The Beatles stopped touring because they couldn`t hack it , Keith Richards played an entire gig at gunpoint.
They couldn`t hack it? How exactly? They stopped touring cause they couldn`t hear themselves play. The Stones Hyde Park concert must be the worst live gig ever.

Charlie Watts would never lower himself to doing Thomas The Tank Engine voiceovers.
Ok, but at least our bass player wasn`t a paedophile.

9. Paul McCartney - The Frog Chorus , Mick Jagger - She`s The Boss.
Both bad yes but if forced at gunpoint I know what i`m going to choose.
Both bad.Full stop.

10 Apperence , looking like you just got dragged from the street > Matching suits. How many bands these days look like this...
Appearance-The Stones looked exactly the same in their first band photos.Compare both bands from a later period

mgmt all the way - no contest... I mean at least they know who Brian Eno is, I doubt if Animal Collective even heard of Roxy Music.

They only play Smiley Smile and Pipers at the Gates of Dawn forwards and backwards on vinyl, from what i hear.

Slow Groove, you disappoint. :(

One of the many reasons they are both fantastic bands ....
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (2009 Stereo Remaster) - YouTube

That is a great song. Harrison in the Beatles was some of the best stuff to me, but I couldn't get through All Things Must Pass very well. Maybe i didn't listen right or something, or maybe he was just hungrier and more urgent with his statements in the group.

Actually one of the guys in Animal Collective is a distant relative of Bryan Ferry.

Made you look.
