The title track was pretty good :)

You have no idea how surprised I am to hear you say that.

Speaking of which, Yes have a reunion world tour planned for July. Will be the Anderson-Howe-Squire-White lineup (no Wakeman :(). Too bad they won't be playing in Memphis, not that it matters, I don't have any money. But dammit would I love to see them. :(

Why? It's an entertaining topic, not a serious debate. State what your view is instead.

Beatles > Rolling Stones.

Just.

The Beatles for the most part sounded like they were having more fun. And they had Helter Skelter, a powerful weapon.

The Beatles were versatile enough that if they chose to play what the Rolling Stones played, they could easly pull it off.

If The Stones tried to be The Beatles, it would be f*cking hillarious.

A lot of people don't even realize that much of 67-70 Beatles was playful comedy. Then again like I've said elsewhere, most haters have hardly spent any time with Beatles records and repeatedly display clear ignorance of what Lennon and McCartney wrote about etc.

OK, That's kinda preference, personally I'd rather have Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page as a guitarist.

2. Mick Jagger , greatest frontman of all time
Once again, preference, but this is a nice quote: "I think it's a lot of hype. I like 'Honky Tonk Women,' but I think Mick's a joke with all that *** dancing; I always did. I enjoy it; I'll probably go and see his films and all like everybody else, but really, I think it's a joke." - John Lennon

Quote:

3. Yoko Ono or Marianne Faithful ,back in the 60s who would you rather have been seen on the arm with ?
Marianne Faithful, in actuality I think George's girl was the hottest out of all The Beatles girls. But choice in women really has nothing to do with it.

4. Songs about sex , drugs , deprevation , heartache , rejection , revenge & decadence are better than kiddie love songs & mystical bollocks.
Beatles - Wrote chart friendly pop songs & ballads. Stones wrote gritty hard rock songs
I agree, Strawberry Fields Forever, Eleanor Rigby, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Revolution 9, Revolution, Because, Tomorrow Never Knows, Helter Skelter, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, I Am The Walrus, Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite, Only A Northern Song, Blue Jay Way, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, etc. are all pop friendly chart songs yes indeed.... The Rolling Stones never wrote any pop friendly chart songs, oh wai-

AND IF YOU TRY SOMETIMES, YOU JUST MIGHT FIND, YOU GET WHAT YOU NEEEEED!!!!

5. The Beatles had to have their faces on album covers , The Stones could stick a picture of a toilet on theirs & still have it sell millions.
I mean come on, really?

Oh yeah, let's not forget The Rolling Stones original sounding albums, like "Let It Bleed"

WHY DO I GET THE FEELING I HAVE HEARD SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE?

Quote:

6. Stones - The 70s , Exile On Main Street, Sticky Fingers, It`s Only Rock n Roll
Beatles - The 70s , Wings , Yoko Ono`s songwriting & Ringo Starr solo albums *shudder*
OK, let's compare Nirvana from the 21st century(Foo Fighters) to The Who from the 60s. That makes sense, right guys?

Quote:

7. The Beatles stopped touring because they couldn`t hack it , Keith Richards played an entire gig at gunpoint.
You know that's not why they stopped touring. They stopped because nobody was listening at their concerts anyway, and they felt like escaping the chaotic swarm that was Beatlemania. Besides, it's not like The Rolling Stones were the best concert men either. Remember Altamont? Nice choice in security, guys.

Quote:

8. Charlie Watts would never lower himself to doing Thomas The Tank Engine voiceovers.
wut?

Quote:

9. Paul McCartney - The Frog Chorus , Mick Jagger - She`s The Boss.
Both bad yes but if forced at gunpoint I know what i`m going to choose.
wut?

In Urbans defence, this thread and his 10 reasons was meant to be nothing more than tongue in cheek stylistic choices.
If I remember rightly, it was a response to several MusicBanter Beatlemaniacs at the time.
