I know you are not trying to mean mate and I respect your views on the Floyd. I just wanted to get across that I don't follow crowds and dislike certain albums because everyone else does. Damn I like a lot of crap that many people don't like on here but I won't change who am I and you shouldn't either :)

I like The Final Cut. No, it's not my favorite, but a few things it has over the wall is that it hasn't been absolutely driven into the dirt by every single classic rock station and neophyte marijuana smoker in existence, and it doesn't play out like the psychoanalysis transcripts of Roger Waters' psychotherapy sessions. It's good to be able to listen to an album similar to the wall, but one that doesn't make you want to put a bullet in your head or swallow a handful of sleeping pills.

I consider Final Cut to be a lot more whiney and pretentious than The Wall is. I like the concept and story behind The Wall, the execution, it's produced like a Floyd album. The Final Cut just expands on the themes of Animals and The Wall, but without the trademark Floyd sound and IMO a lot more whining. "Thatcher killed my daddy" and what not.

Heh, different strokes.

I don't mind The Wall's radio play, I still like the singles like Hey You and ABITW and I like most of the deep cuts from the album as well

Generally the only part of The Wall I don't like is that empty void of filler between Hey You and Comfortably Numb on side 3.

don't forget everything after Run Like Hell. what an incredibly dim way to close the Wall, all coming from the same guy that's responsible for Eclipse.

Heh. I think Waiting for the Worms/The Trial is awesome, actually.
