Favorite AC/DC Album?

What's your favorite AC/DC album?

crash_override 04-30-2009 08:44 AM

I'd have to say Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, I like the australian release track listing better. 'Ride On' is one of my favorite AC/DC tracks ever and features not one, not two, but three incredible bluesy guitar solo's. Jailbreak is petty sweet too as it's original release was seen on the australian version of this album but was dropped for international releas for some strange reason.

coryallen2 04-30-2009 08:46 AM

I like Back in Black alot.

But I did get every AC/DC album right?

Studio albums yes. It's actually verbatim from Wikipedia, which i'm guessing is not a coincidence.

coryallen2 04-30-2009 08:51 AM

Yes I did get the list off of wikipedia (for dates) But sometimes that damn site is'nt correct.

BlueCadet 04-30-2009 11:02 AM

the one where they do something interesting

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-30-2009 11:02 AM

Powerage by a mile

coryallen2 04-30-2009 11:02 AM

And retarded post FTW!

Trolling the AC/DC thread? That's classy.

boo boo 04-30-2009 11:25 AM

Because if there's a sacred cow nobody EVER goes after. It's AC/DC.

Back in Black.

The Cat 04-30-2009 12:29 PM

Highway to Hell with Bon Scott and Back in Black with Brian Johnson

Well, if I had to choose I guess it would be High Voltage (international) because that was the one I used to have back in the day and I dont really like Brian Johnsons voice at all (hells bells is good stuff though). But to be honest I find the band so extremely generic that it puts me to sleep. but to each his own.

The Cat 04-30-2009 01:06 PM

AC/DC are pure rock and roll music very simple and increadably effective but when your in that mood nothing compares..hell of a live band too

cheezyridr 04-30-2009 04:16 PM

that was really hard for me to pick. i went with "for those about to rock"
because i think it is the most consistently awesome of their records.
i wanted to pick dirty deeds because of the several blistering solos on it, (especially squealer) but in my own head it's not as consistently great over all. a tie for close second would be dirty deeds and hiway to hell.

Guybrush 04-30-2009 04:29 PM

Sorry for being predictable .. Back in Black!

It's also the world's most sold album by a band so I'm guessing it might win the poll.

Norg 04-30-2009 04:49 PM

i like there first 3 with there orginal singer

High voltage
Let there be rock
Highway to hell

because thoes are the only ones i have LOL

jackhammer 05-01-2009 08:15 AM

Where the frig is 'If You Want Blood'? :( That wins by a mile. If not 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' for Scott era and 'For Those About to Rock' for Johnson era.

rwyncaruvegas37 05-02-2009 03:07 AM

There's an Australian version of Dirty Deeds Done Cheap too. T'has my favourite song, Rock in Peace. Awesome song but out of these albums I picked High Voltage. I love that '70s rock n roll!

Grunge_Junkie 05-04-2009 11:14 AM

i liked high way to hell because of "if you want blood you got it" or something like that.

dancooke 06-21-2009 06:15 AM

ziren 06-21-2009 06:34 AM

Highway to hell and High Voltage all the way :P

Lost_At_22 06-21-2009 11:35 AM

If You Want Blood....the best live album bar none.

asshat 06-22-2009 03:39 AM

"Let there be rock"-angus sounds like he strung his guitar with rusted barbwire.

...if the rest of the jailbreak e.p was as good as jailbreak I'd vote for that.

Finally, another mindless conformist like me.

ElephantSack 06-23-2009 09:25 PM

Highway to Hell, easy.

almauro 06-25-2009 09:33 AM

The macabre tale goes like this. Bon, drunk out of his mind, watches Brian Johnson perform with his band in a dingy London pub with Angus, and in his stupor told him that if he were ever to die, he'd want Johnson to replace him. I CAN'T BELIEVE ANGUS TOOK HIM SERIOUSLY! AC/DC went from having one of the best front men, to...well, Brian Johnson. Best album, Highway to Hell, fav. songs, "It's a Long Way to The Top" and "Down Payment Blues".

Exactly what I was thinking.

In the absence of that, I voted Highway To Hell.

TheCunningStunt 07-01-2009 11:48 PM

Highway to Hell.

jmfmr 07-06-2009 01:44 PM

i think ballbreaker is great, but i love anyone, they are genious. Kind of simple composing but excelent music.

Mojo 07-17-2009 03:39 PM

Let There Be Rock for me. I'd probably say Back In Back from the Johnson era.

NumberNineDream 08-27-2009 06:23 PM

I'm always trying to like AC/DC but never succeeded.

Classof75 08-29-2009 06:47 AM

Most of the Bonn Scott era stuff and Back in Black. Let There Be Rock is the high point of the band (imo).
