Billy Gibbons does exclusively. It doesn't destroy the strings, just kills the plating on 'em real quick.
And RezZ, it's good, if it needs a little work I'd say the most difficult thing is to build a bigger sound and fill out the middle. The bassline could accomplish that but at the risk of mixing it too loudly have you considered adding more percussion? It doesn't have to be real drums, but anything organic would help it out. Tambourine and etc.

what's the click that starts up halfway through 'stuck in the woods...'? maybe throw some flange on that and mix it in a little louder if possible. everything else is pretty awesome, maybe bring back the super trippy drums from the very start sporadically through the track.
on 2nd listen you've got a total neil young vibe going on just needs a little more compression on your lead tone hehe |

And GOOD! If I can one day sound half as good as Neil Young satisfaction will be reached.

that's the beauty of digital. just mix and match tracks until it sounds 'right' or go back to an older version.
and seriously a little compression on the lead track and you'd have some 'down by the river' action hehe |
