Heat Twenty Four: Battle of the Bands
King Crimson:
Here we are, the favourites, you’ve all been waiting to see how well they’ll do, and they’re in an incredibly easy heat, so vote Bodkin instead. Bodkin: Awesome Scottish heavy prog, ask me for links. Big Star With a heavy cult following in places Big Star made some really good pop albums in the early 70’s. The Hollies: These buggers never bloody quit, good on em. The Turtles: You know who you are, give your description and I’ll edit this poast.

As a Salfordian/Mancunian, I have to go with The Hollies, any band with the combination of Clarke, Hicks and Nash deserves a vote in my book.
And you have to remember that in the sixties, The Hollies were thought of as on par with The Stones and The Beatles.....strange as that might seem now. I think they got lost somewhere, but it should'nt be forgotten that once upon a time, this band were fooking amazing. |

they'll win this heat once more people cast a vote for sure and deserve it for the scale of their accomplishments, but there's always the voice at the back of my head that doesn't want to see a list with the usual suspects. Bodkin to win!
