Well MB is kinda prog-biased nowadays and KC is well-liked outside prog circles too.

Fixed. Based on what I see people listening to in their posts, I'd say folks here look down on or ignore progressive rock/older art rock in general. Or maybe I'm missing some big prog. thread in Gen. Discussion?

But yeah, King Crimson win because it's not even a band per-se to begin with, its a way of doing things that has remained, for the most part, interesting to listen to for the past 40 years despite all the lineup changes which normally wreck bands apart.
