Default Heat Fourteen: Battle of the Bands

The Residents:

Some pretty cool avant-garde stuff that I could never get fully into, have no idea what their best album is, but they certainly have a large back catalogue. Check em out.

Wishbone Ash:

Oh my love, my Wishbone Ash, still touring with founding member Andy Powell, and are still pretty damn awesome (no seriously, they’re brilliant live). Most fans regard their first four albums as their best effort, but I like pretty much everything by them, well, apart from locked in and their trance albums.

Mahavishnu Orchestra:

God this heat is starting to look difficult. This stuff is great, get any of their albums, it’s all brilliant, wonderful jazz fusion.

Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies:

I reviewed their one album in my review corner thing, check that out.

Savoy Brown:

Long lived british blues band, check out Raw Sienna.

Yet another hard heat. I adore both The Residents and Mahavishnu Orchestra....

...but I guess I'll go with Maha because you ****bags are too lazy to check out the The Residents.

Oh ****. The one time I'm really interested in a band and two of my other favorites (Wishbone Ash, Residents) have to lose as a result.

Sorry man, but Argus (great as it is, and yes I know that Wishbone Ash have done some other great albums) isn't enough to win me over compared to a band that's put out 60+ albums of merit (The Residents), or a group of insanely talented musicians who have performed some of the arguably best jazz-fusion known to mankind. (Mahavishnu Orchestra)
