Default Heat Thirteen: Battle of the Bands

Syd Barrett:

The fired frontman from Pink Floyd responsible for Piper at the Gates of Dawn and two solo albums, here’s your chance to vote for Pink Floyd at least, but try to vote for him for his solo efforts. Which aren’t actually that bad, I quite like the Madcap Laughs.

T. Rex:

They made a slew of alright rock albums as Tyrannosaurus rex before exploding out of mediocrity and making T. Rex followed by Electric Warrior, and glam rock was born.

The Moody Blues:

Lovely symphonic ‘prog’ with beautiful vocals and generally soothing awesome. Check out Days of Future Passed and in Search of the Lost Chord, On the Threshold of a Dream is also exceedingly awesome.

Turquoise:

Errr, help? A search shows a few with the name but the only thing I can find that can be related is a band that released a few singles in 1968 and have a 2006 compilation from the era.

Traffic:

I think traffic is a pretty cool guy. eh made John Barleycorn Must Die, and doesn’t afraid of anything.

The Moody Blues are cool - it's worth pointing out that Days of Future Passed came before ITCOTCK, and it has a cool name too.

If ANYONE is on the fence and hasn't heard Syd...I have Piper lying around. Shoot me a pm. I can also upload his two 'real' solo albums.

I'm torn between Moody Blues and Syd... This one will take some time.
