My apologies for using incorrect terminology.

Wrong, I said they were one of my favorite bands for two months. I still remain a fan today.

I never said I was an aficionado, you're the one who seems to be intent on giving me that label. I also never said that I only owned 3 albums, I was simply giving some suggestions for people not familiar with the band, as those were the albums that got me liking their music. As a matter of fact, I don't think their music is crappy. All I intended to say is that I wouldn't be surprised if a band that has been around for 50 years with over 230 releases will likely have bad times as well as good. A lot of their music that I have heard is good. Other albums are not quite as good. That was the basis for my non-accusing speculative comment. I'm sorry to see my well-intentioned post so grossly misinterpreted.

No need to apologize.

I was just messing around, I can never listen to the same bands over and over for two months let alone for more then a week myself. I always have to mix it up.

Some fantastic era music that really holds up well with selected tracks. Never my forte being an Irish Immigrant\Midwesterner but I can always appreciate a pull from this era.

The VENTURES IN SPACE album makes it for me, especially the last cut on side two... Otherwise a "best of" is usually all I need (though invariably there are tracks I want that aren't on there ... but it's the essence of the thing, the nut, not the whole, that I really want to crack most days... or some, anyhow) ... Their J-Pop influence is very entertaining, a lot of the world makes more sense when you take that into account. Two guitars, bass, drums ... yes.

The Ventures\The Rock and Roll Forever
One favorite albums of all time, highly recommend it to any one who likes Instrumental Rock, early Rock and Roll, early R&B/Blues instrumentals, 70's Rock (you get the picture) imo the best Rock and Roll albums all come out in the early 70's and this is one of them.

I grew up with my parents listening to The Ventures. I really enjoy their guitar sound. I really like their version of Pipeline and Rumble. They were definitely one of the best guitar instrumental bands of their era.
