Heat Twelve: Battle of the Bands
Sorry for the delay btw.
The Yarbirds: For those of you disappointed at not being able to vote for Led Zeppelin, well here’s your chance to write for Jimmy Page’s earlier band. Notable for quite a few good pop albums and for their incredible previous guitarists, including Beck and Clapton. All their albums are just as good as each other. The Monkees: First real boyband if you disregard the beatles however they still managed to make some pretty good pop. Check out their first four albums. Creedence Clearwater Revival: My girlfriend thought they were black, mainly just John Fogerty and support band in the end, but they made loads of great albums. The best the south has ever had to offer. The Pretty Things: S.F. Sorrow has a small following here on music banter and a very large following elsewhere. One of the most influential bands of the uk underground movement in the 60’s. Van Der Graaf Generator: I have a huge softspot for these guys, they just sound so cool. Pawn Hearts is brilliant.

Holy crap random seeding has not done any favours for this star studded poll.

Completely ignoring that the pretty things have about ten thousand former members. Still, fair enough.

To be fair, by modern standards the Yardbirds didn't have that much of an unstable lineup, until of course everyone left. And yes the New Yarbirds were far more stable, until now if current rumours are to be believed.

Yeah, also I'm just listening to S.F. Sorrow again for the first time in a long while, and it's a lot sharper than I remember.
