Default Heat Eight: Battle of the Bands

Cream

Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton? What can I say, they were the start of rock Excess, onstage that is, before who would have imagined extended guitar solos? OR drum solos in the first place! Check out everything and everything, and remember claptop is god.

Leaf Hound:

Already growing a small cult following on MB after my review in my review corner, check it out, it’s the first one I did. And then send me a PM and then vote for them, because they’re better than anything here. Just ask Ethan.

Sex Pistols:

I really shouldn’t have included them since they’re punk, so er, don’t vote for them so Cream and Leaf Hound can go through… k?

The Kaleidoscope (UK)

A psychedelic folk prog band which shares the name of a Japanese band which makes it infinitely difficult to find information, anyone who wants to help here is more than welcome.

Colosseum:

I love Daughter of Time, unfortunately it’s all I’ve heard of them, awesome jazz rock.

Lifted from Allmusic.com
Highly esteemed by some collectors, Kaleidoscope epitomized certain of the more precious traits of British psychedelia with their fairy-tale lyrics and gentle, swirling folky sound. At times they sound like a far more melodic and accessible Incredible String Band. Their folky ballads have aged best, there's some period charm to be found throughout their two albums as well,

The Kaleidoscope evolved into Fairfield Parlour in the Seventies.

It's gonna be hard to choose between Cream and Leaf Hound. Hopefully, both will go through.

If its any justification, The Sex Pistols when they first started out would rehearse by just playing Who covers, with Glen Matlock being a big Mod at heart.
