King Crimso already have it wrapped up. I'm looking forward to seeing how far Gentle Giant and Jefferson Airplane will go though.

I second questioning their inclusion.

The Sex Pistols fit a hell of a lot better than Billy Joel...

Billy Joels finest work was in the 60's with The Lost Souls and with The Hassles and in the early 70's (ignoring Attila) with his rather marvellous solo stuff.

I think its a justifiable nomination.

In the 80's though ........

Billy Joel is best known for his 70's albums Piano Man (1973), Turnstiles (1976), The Stranger (1977) and 52nd Street (1978) He was at the height of his popularity here at the end of the 70's.

Sex Pistols are a punk band.

They're already playing early punk bands on the classic rock stations, so why can't they be considered classic rock on here?
