The polls will start over christmas, to allow the maximum amount of bands to be submitted. As I've stated I'm going to Spain from the 16th to the 23rd and Internet access will be limited. These things take time, so I do think it would be acceptable to start after christmas, rather than start during, since not that many people will want to be on here wasting their time.

Hokai, I'm going to go through and tally, and hopefully make up a useful number, if no one objects I'd fill in the rest of the places with general staples of the genre to make up the rounds. If we're far too lacking in nominations I'll let this run out the year if not I'm going to start the group stages on the 26th and close the nominations in two hours.

so far we have 120 nominations Which would give 24 rounds with 48 progressing to the next round, I will add five more bands seeded randomly to make 125 nominations which would allow 50 to progress, then subsequently 20 and then 8 to 4 band semi finals where, depending on public opinion, either 5, 4 or 2 bands will progress to the finals

Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Shadows, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac have been nominated, all these (with the exception of the Shadows) were mentioned in my "fake" nomination in the first post.
