I don't really think this should be a poll at all, I don't think there is any one of these musicians responsible for where Rock music has gone. It's a combination of all of these popular sounds, and if we are going on pure innovation then of course The Beatles deserve to win. Not because they influenced music, but because of the leaps they took in Recording Techniques and Technology. They took us from MONO to Stereo for crying out loud.
