Bob Dylan did influence Hencrix and the Beatles and his back up band became The Band...He is pretty great...But the Beatles changed everything...they were the right band at the right time and changed everything.

No, Oppenheimer changed everything. The beatles made ****ty pop tunes with no significance and released it to a mass market, they weren't doing anything new, they just found a bigger audience.

I'm getting bored of stupid comments from people on this forum who just don't like an artist but cannot actually explain why without an unintelligent generic answer that displays any knowledge of the topic at hand.

Oppenheimer, Serber, Bethe, Van Vleck if they could have played the guitar Hiroshima and Nagasaki may have been OK...The Beatles may have not been original but they had something that people grabbed on to and it helped to change music forever.

They didn't do many things that were "new," but what they did was take things that weren't the least bit popular and make them popular. They made other artists want to do the weird things that they were doing. They were certainly influential. You can claim other bands were more influential, that's your right, but to say that The Beatles weren't in any way influential is just plain ignorant.

To: whoever thinks avril laviaksdjbgkld is an influence
I just want to say that if we are talking influence the beatles are something to be reconed with. Agreed they may be a bit overrated but considering influence the beatles brought a whole new sound to the world with a complete different message. the beatles are still recognized and probably always will be as long as people remain musically inclined.
The most influential rock artist is hands down elvis for obvious reasons which has yet to be mentioned. lets take our roots into consideration. on another note avril lavinge or whatever her damn name is no influence on the music scene at all. the only thing she has influenced me to do vomit. simple plan may have been cool in 7th grade but we all grow up and look back and think to ourselves "we did such silly things" if you decide to retaliate by pointing out the fact that i spelled a few words wrong your retarded, stick to the subject at hand |
