STP is one of the few so called "grunge bands" from the early 90s that actually experimented and let their music evolve in the late 90s from their original debut. (I think Scott Weiland was the main reason). But that doesnt suggest, I didn't like the other bands of that era also, Alice In Chains, Soungarden, Pearl Jam, to name a few. (By the way), I always liked Bush and Silverchair too.

I've never been very prejudice when it comes to music, I've been a musician since I was young, and I taught myself early on to be honest with myself, concerning the different styles of music I personally liked, and to at least to give it a chance if I didn't. There are some bands and artist that I respect (more so), than actually liking their music/style. The Doors for example, I can respect their music and influence as a band, but I personally don't care for their music that much, although I do like the organ/keyboard aspect to their music in certain songs.

This is an example of what I consider "vocal perfection". (I Love It!) |

I`ve always been a fan of pop and mainstream as well. Of the bands you listed Walter Becker and Geddy Lee were both bassists and vocalists of their bands. |
