personally, my favorite band from that era was the doors. as for how influential they were? idk about that. i love them, though.

you laugh, but its actually unbeleiveable, so much roc is based around power chords, which was all started by acdc. they have no musical tallent, but they defined the major form of rock on the fretboard.

acdc built up the power chord. pete townshend was better than just power chords

I do laugh, because ACDC didn't invent power chords...

According to Wikipedia, Link Wray first introduced power chords. The Kinks "You Really Got Me" was the first hit with power chords, and apparently Pete Townshend coined the term.

Plus influencing the power chords isn't something I'd be completely proud of, with the way modern music rapes them.

whatever, i admit acdc sucks, but i still think they were influental.

oh and i diddnt say they invented the pc, i said they harnessed its powerrrr but whatevs.

What are you talking about, Townshend was credited with bringing the heavy use of power chords to rock well before acdc even formed.
