I wasn't aware that those two have ever been called kings of rock 'n' roll.
I admit I might've slept through some of my English classes.

I don't think the tag of "king of rock and roll" is really valid, but I think Chuck Berry is by far the greatest of the 1950's rockers, so he gets my vote.

In second grade ('88) we had to design a stamp. I did one of Elvis. A few years later one came out.

Of the three of them, Elvis of course. Not only was he one of the greatest impacts of rock'n'roll history, but he is already known as the King. I'd never want that to change, even if I'm not his biggest fan.

Elvis and Berry are pretty hard to decide between. Chuck Berry was more innovative and more influential within music, in my opinion, but Elvis popularized the form to the public far and away the best of any early rock & roll star and was, of course, a great talent too.

But this needs to be asked. Why does rock n roll need to be a mocarchy? Thats kinda lame, shouldn't it be a democracy? In which case I'd elect Elvis president, Little Richard vice president and Chuck Berry speaker of the house.
