BFS to my ears was fine, and they deserve some kind of award for bringing out at least a good album under a intense whirlwind of Beatlemania, starring in a film as well as creating original songs for it, dealing with an American press that mainly treated them like some novelty that might go out by the next year ("What will you do when the bubble bursts?" "Do you get haircuts?" and all of the other cheesy questions and promotions), and being on their forth album after three high quality works and some classic singles. "No Reply," "I'm a Loser," "Baby's in Black," "Eight Days a Week," "Every Little Thing," and "What You're Doing" all reflect a band in transition, and a very good one, while the filler tracks are forgivable as the album in full, as mixed as it is, was still one of the better releases of Winter '64.

Abbey Road? WTF. I'm guessing the majority of voters aren't Beatles fans, cos no Beatles fan, unless their a wrong'un, rates Abbey Road/Sgt Pepper.

Revolver has the most consistancy. It was either that or The White Album. However, The White album seemed almost like they really didn't put as much effort into it as any of there other albums. There's a ton of filler. Next would be Sgt. Pepper this was when they were obviously "experimenting" and this would be #1 or #2 if they would've just thrown in Strawberry Fields Forever or Penny Lane instead of throwing it onto the mediocore EP Magical Mysyery Tour. My least favorite Beatles song is on Sgt. Pepper Mr. Kite. Reading off of a circus flyer with very lazy melody doesn't do it for me. With all of that being said Revolver is the one album in there catalogue that has replay value for me. Probably one of my favorite albums of all time.

I love Abbey Road! It's perhaps not the best collection of songs; while there are some truly excellent songs on it, my favourite songs would be on other albums. But as an album in itself, it's utterly fantastic.

There are few sections of any album that I enjoy more than the medley sequence at the end of Abbey Road, it's so perfectly written and put together that it's almost impossible to listen to each song separately; they HAVE to be listened to as a whole. Combined with songs like I want you, Oh Darling, Because... It's an album that I enjoy from start to finish, and also an album which is paced perfectly. The total is far, far more than the sum of its parts, which is why I would personally say that it is at least on a par with any other album they have ever made.

1) Revolver and White Album consistent? Neither are very similar all the way through. Revolver goes from "Yellow Submarine" to "Taxman" to "Tomorrow Never Knows". And White Album goes from "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" to "Revolution 9". Both are very inconsistent all the way through.
2) I kind of agree with the filler on White Album, but it's good filler. I like almost all the songs on there.
3) Magical Mystery Tour mediocre? It has several of the best songs they've ever made! "I am the Walrus", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "All You Need is Love".
4) I can't really say "For the Benefit of Mr. Kite" is a good song. But I really like it, haha.

As an album, Abbey Road is my fav. The tracks tie together so well, and it has no bad songs on it. It may not have my favourite songs on it, but there is nothing to break the flow like Love You To or Revolution 9. And I really dislike Let It Be...
