Im glad we can all agree that Let It Be sucks.

lucifer_sam 09-22-2008 09:45 PM

It's not as bad as their earlier material or Yellow Submarine. I dig Let It Be, but it's probably pretty far down on my list.

Brad Stengel 09-23-2008 01:26 PM

I like most of the earlier material better.

I like:
Across the Universe (although the version with the birds is way better)
Let It Be
I've Got A Feeling

Aaaannnnd the rest of it is mediocre. Its essentially a throw together album, and if you ask me it sounds like one too. Its like The Beatles' "Smiley Smile"

I think it's a great closing album. Of course not one of their better but it works.

Brad Stengel 09-23-2008 02:31 PM

Abbey Road would have been perfect...it was supposed to be their last album after all...but nooooo Let It Be had to fuck it up.

Akira 09-23-2008 02:32 PM

Aye, Abbey Road would have been great for the last album. Even the cover shows them walking away from the studio.

Brad Stengel 09-23-2008 03:03 PM

Yep. ANd the last song is "The End"...I guess "Her Majesty", but that was an accident.

Accident? No, they were just messing around.
