I prefer The Madcap Laughs because of its sporadic nature. The lack of flow gives it a weirdly honest sound. Songs like Octopus and If It's In You sound genuinely experimental even if they don't stray too far from typical Syd. Also, No Man's Land is just too good.

You hipsters really do get a kick out of being wrong all the time.

Barrets solo material is almost completely unlistenable, just listen to how horribly out of sync Barretts singing and guitar playing is with the rest of the instrumentation to see what I mean.

When the only redeeming qualities about his second album is the guitar playing and production from the very guy who f*cking replaced him in Pink Floyd then you know something is wrong.

Gilmour era Floyd > Barrett.

Fact.

Yeah those hip young scene kids really dig 40 year old folk albums. I see loads of teenagers with trendy haircuts rocking out to Baby Lemonade on a regular basis.

I agree with boo boo. Barrett era isnt even close to as good as Gilmour and Waters era.

Bike is probably the worst song Pink Floyd have ever done.
