yeah - i dont know how it could have been a flop, its so damn good!
i love the who sell out, on which i can see for miles appears - at that time, townshend was writing some great songs e.g. " 'miles" and "mary anne with the shaky hand" and "our love was" etc. and so was entwistle with "silas stingy"and "someones coming" musically, the who sell out is very linked to tommy, the middle chord progression in "Rael" became the basis of "its a boy", "sparks", "underture" and appears in many other songs on tommy.

Hmmm, I think they're pretty over rated in my opinion. I mean don't get me wrong, they're great and I love them. But people that I call "posers" say they like The Who, just so they can fit in with other kids in my school. It's just another one of those radio hit bands to me. But I do like Pinball Wizard(with Elton John) and Teenage Wasteland.

the song called Teenage Wasteland is actually called Baba O'riley after Pete's avater, Meher Baba and American minimalist composer, Terry Riley - still its a great song.
the Who songs you hear on the radio are just the hits, to really appreciate the Who, you have to listen carefully to some of their albums, particularly Tommy, Who's Next and Quadrophenia
