Having listened to Who Are You it's a pretty damn good album but Daltrey could probably tone down his roar sometimes. A bit of subtlety on some of these songs in the vocal department would have been preferable. But generally quite a good album, especially with the synth work.

My favourite track here is probably Sister Disco.

^^yeah I like the quieter stuff myself

still, Daltrey there is not as bombastic as he is on Quadrophenia

I think the heavier delivery suited Quadrophenia more though; it fits in much better with the emotional extremes of that record. Who Are You is a bit more restrained and therefore a softer delivery will have suited it better, excluding the title track and a few others.

Here's a great performance by The Who at the Isle Of Wight Festival

Judging by the fact that Pete Townshend is wearing his white jumpsuit, I think so He wore that thing in performances most of the time through '68-'70.

Who's Next is probably my favorite album by them, regardless of popularity. The first Who song I ever heard was Won't Get Fooled Again, and that was because of my uncle.

I found Sell Out! to be on the decent side. It's got some memorable tracks but it's one of their weaker albums in comparison to the rest.
