The Official Budgie Thread
I've been digging this band for over 30 years, and they're still in my heavy rotation. Rodger Bain from Sabbath's early years produced their first two. Anybody know the only thing Budgie has in common with Yes?

Looking to get some BUDGIE into my collection. Although they were not as heavy, I have always been dissapointed that Barclay James Harvest did'nt recieve a bigger profile than they got. A great underated band.

Wait, somebody else here likes BJH?
Hip hip hooray. :tramp: |
^^^^^^
Love BJH. Once Again is probably my favourite album of theirs. |
If The Beatles became a full fledged prog band. BJH is probably what they would sound like.

This has turned into a BJH love fest-sorry! Back to Budgie-any up's out there, it's a gap in my collection that need's to be filled...and BOO BOO, i agree-BJH were a Beatles replacement.

Came across a copy of Squawk earlier today.
Although I wasn't blown away by it what struck me about it was how ahead of it's time it was. It sounded more like a NWOBHM album than anything released in 1972. Having heard that I think they are due a lot more credit than they get. |
* Bump*
Listening to their debut right now. Damn fine Rock band criminally overlooked. |
