I think they're overrated as all ****, but ****.... catchy tunes that I enjoy listening to. And that's all music should really boil down to.

Guess they're among the best white Rock musicians ever. Though, nothing compared to old school african-american rockers such as Chuck Berry

A few really good songs. A vibe that was pretty groundbreaking at the time. Jim Morrison was a total *******. He ruined himself and his band.

Way too bad in hindsight.

Well, based on my avatar and signature, this should be obvious. I think they're among the greatest of their era. Morrison was an incredible vocalist and songwriter, Manzarek was a wizard on the keys, and Densmore and Krieger were talented and innovative instrumetalists. Their debut easily pulls its weight with the classics.
