The song was writen for Robert Plant's son, Karac, who died in 1977. It was recorded in ABBA's Polar Studio in Sockholm Sweden.

My favorite Led Zeppelin songs are "The Rain Song" and "Going to California". They are just performed with so much feeling, it gives me the chills.
