The song was writen for Robert Plant's son, Karac, who died in 1977. It was recorded in ABBA's Polar Studio in Sockholm Sweden.

Actually, many of Zeppelin's songs were ripped off from blues classics. I've heard a lot of their songs sound like Muddy Waters' or, as you said, Robert Johnson's songs, but here are the most obvious ones:

Whole Lotta Love's riff = "Hoochie Coochie Man"

"Black Dog" = Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally"

My favorite Led Zeppelin song is "Thank You" really a great song and something you have never expected to them. I also like "Communication Breakdown" sounds very proto-punk to me.

saying stairway to heaven is illegal I guess lol
so... since I've been loving you may be my choice

but if you ask me that again in about 10 minutes my answer might change

My favorite Led Zeppelin songs are "The Rain Song" and "Going to California". They are just performed with so much feeling, it gives me the chills.

Oooh and "Since I've been loving you"... too many to choose from, I guess it depends on my mood at the time

Kashmir is one of my favourites but I don't think they made a band song (on their first six albums, not heard the rest.)

The Battle of Evermore gets played a lot in my house too.

It'd have to be No Quarter. I find most of their straight up rock n' roll numbers boring to listen to these days, so I'd rather listen to some of their more mystical songs.

Same here. I can't really listen to songs like 'whole lotta love'. I gotta listen to their less rock n roll songs.
