Re-Imaginos from Bouchard is out. Not sure what to make of it yet but in my search for info, I happened across this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soOHIaSyqtU It's strange to hear "The Siege..." without those beautiful ivorys kicking in and Joe Satriani's guitar offering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eyHa2maCY8 |
A song from their new album 'The Symbol Remains'...
Blue Öyster Cult - Florida Man I don't see myself buying a copy of the album but it's good to hear the old B.O.C. humor still intact and flourishing. |

Florida Man sounds like some golden-era Ween. Really like it.

Blue Öyster Cult was my top favourite band back in my late teenage years - when I was suffering from a bad case of schizophrenia. I was a psycho. And the music of BÖC struck a chord with me because it was so darned *weird*.
I seriously believe that the music of BÖC helped me to recover from my psychosis. Because that weird music gave me something which motivated me to focus on something *outside* of my own consciousness. Listening to the first two LPs released by BÖC was like therapy for me. For I was for the first time in quite a while focusing on something out there in reality. So BÖC will always have a special place in my heart. It was the first rock band (besides the Beatles) which I fell in love with. |
