Hell, when i first listened to VU&A i didn't even know what their image was, i just thought the music was great, and all the bands they influenced don't dress the way they do, but their sound has been imitated many times... When the critics praise them they don't go on about Lou Reeds sunglasse's or Nico's legs... How in the hell are they all about image?

And i never said The Sex Pistols weren't in it for the money, just that their songs were at least not completely one dimensional like KISS... They didn't write thousands of songs about partying, they wrote about things that were actually important.

Theres more to their music than just Andy Worhol.... For a band that was "all about image" their record sales were extremely poor, and most of the people who actually did listen to VU&N ended up starting their own band, because they related to the music but at the same time their songs weren't technically challenging, it was a do it yourself kind of thing and people liked that, it wasn't just because of how they looked... If that was the case, what's the point in even having a band?

Herion, Venis In Furs, Femme Fetale, The Gift and Sister Ray are some of the most beloved songs of the 60s... Why do you think people like those songs?... Lou Reeds good taste in leather?
