I have always thought they were a *little* overrated, but I also think that some of their music is pretty good, mainly the first, Dressed To Kill, Hotter Than Hell, the live album, and a few tracks from Destroyer (mainly Detroit Rock City, Beth makes me wanna grab a double bladed ax and head to the orphanage). They also released 1 good album jn the late 90's, I forgot the name of it but it's the album that has Unholy on it.

Thd rest of their catalog runs from the boring to the comedicly terrible IMO.

I've recently re-listened to most of their 70s catalogue and most of it actually still sounds great, with the 'jewel in the rough' being the Ace Frehley solo, what a great album that is.
