Making songs about having a good time dosent make them one of the best bands ever.

Take Jet for example, they may be a fun likable band, but it dosent make them better than say The Flaming Lips, now does it?

You do realise that everyone in KISS except Gene has been addicted to smack at one point, right?

Yeah, good fun happy music indeed.

Just because a band makes a 'fun' song, doesn't qualify them as the most influential band of the seventies. And it isn't that they influenced, its who they influenced.

KISS ----> Uninspired Glam Metal

Television --------> Art Punk

They did that to alienate homophobes, whom Cobain didnt want to consider to be part of his fanbase.
