yeah.. problem is, im a bass player so all i get is roots and fifths.... occasional fourths... oh well...

bummer, bass is cool in its own way though, you just gotta keep from lettin it be boring. I got to see Abe Laboriel play in a jazz quartet back in high school, by far that was the best jazz concert I've ever seen, hes an amazing bassist, and at the end I got all their autographs. Abe plays with more passion than any bassist i've witnessed.

yeah.... i love playing funk songs cos i always get to mess around with slap and octaves and tenths which is awesome fun.... especially with chorus and an octave pedal.... unfortunately theres not much room to move in santanas songs... although the guitarist has fun...
