I remember when I first started listening to Zeppelin, I didn't like many of their blues oriented songs. Now most of those are my favorites. They all tend to have some badass guitar work too. You Shook Me, I Can't Quit You Babe, Since I've Been Loving You, The Lemon Song. I think Zeppelin would still have been big if they had chosen to play just blues.

I've watched the oliver stone movie of the doors. Its pretty interesting, morrison was definetely quite out of control to say the least. He was drunk about 24/7, and he coulndt compose himself worth a **** on stage. All in all, the doors are pretty unique though, Manzareck sp? is most definetely talented on the keys, thought the band never appealed a whole lot to me for some reason. Ive always loved riders on the storm though, its very well done IMO.

Riders On The Storm was the first Doors song I heard. It's always been one of my favorite. It's pretty cool that it's about a serial killer.

I remember first listenin to break on through with my mom ridin in the car, i was like 6 or 7. I always could recognize the doors music from way back then, you can't mistake morrison for anyone else. I always thought they were kind of creepy and mysterious. Light my fire is a classic with a great part on the keys. I also like love me 2 times, love her madly, and the end. I forget which song it is but it has the weirdest ending, it ends with morrison saying "remember when we were in africa"? way weird.

I'll be sure to check it out Alex. The Doors have always facinated me. Morrison's lyrics really bring on some deep thought.
