Yes and yes. People try to act like there weren't classic rock acts who were just in it for the money and it drives me crazy. They're usually the same people who dismiss any music with electronic elements as crap.

Rock and roll made before the 90s I suppose, though some try to argue that REM is the "last" classic rock band... I don't really buy that though.
