Jimmy vs. Jimi
I know this thread is probably gonna start WWIII, but I'm gonna post it anyway. My vote goes to page.

How can you ask such a question!
I already have a headache, how convenient. I pick Page, as being better. Jimi as being a soul mover. ****.

I'd go for Hendrix. Page was technically fantastic, came up with great riffs, amazing stuff... but Hendrix just had this magic and uniqueness to the way he played, he had new ideas, new sounds. Jimmy Page comes as close as anybody else could, but Hendrix really was the daddy.
Thanks for putting up the two best for a face off though - not like a lot of similar threads where it would have been "who's the best guitarist, Cobain, Corgan, Noel Gallagher or Bryan Adams?..." |
