Isaac is a good guitarist and Pitchfork is fucking awful, I go there for music news but not reviews I ignore those.

As for indie and emo guitarists? No, never any emo guitarists and indie occasionally not so much, I can't really recall one though I think Nick Zinner was on one once. I have two years or so worth of guitarone and guitarplayer magazines i'll list whos on their covers.

Pete Townshend
Frank Zappa
Steve Vai
John Petrucci
Dave Mustaine
Jeff Beck
Jimmy Page
Slash
Eddie Van Halen
B.B. King
Warren Haynes
Synyster Gates
Zacky Vengeance
Eddie
Angus Young
Zakk Wydle
Tony Iommi
Henry Garza
Billy Joel Armstrong
Billy Gibbons
John Frusciante
Rivers Cuomo
Derek Trucks
Brad Paisley
Eric Johnson
Steve Vai
Mark Tremonti
Dimebag Darrel
Cory Beaulieu
Matt Heafy
Jimi Hendrix
Buddy Guy
Justin and Dan Hawkins
Dan Jacobs
Yngwie Malsteem
Buckethead
Alex Lifeson
Tom Petty

As well as tons of lists including zeppelin, metallica, ac/dc, van halen, black sabbath, I couldn't find all my guitar magazines but still they're all like that. I've seen the occasional article on an alternative/indie act but not much. The only one I can remember was a short thing on Sleater-Kinney and another on the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Why because I proved your original statement about how guitar magazines put indie/emo guitarists on their covers to sell more wrong? I like how once it becomes evident i'm not going to make a five second reply you edit your post saying guitar magazines is a bad example.

And how is Brock a bad guitarist? I like his style, hes one of my favorite alternative guitarists ever and a brilliant songwriter too or is just because something positive was said about Modest Mouse and you don't like that?

Led Zeppelin are nowhere near as annoying as Led Zeppelin fans.

I like Page, but Hendrix gets extra points for singing. People may not think he was a great singer, but he had so much soul, and really had a unique style at his time. I would pick Hendrix as the best musician ever.

Lets not get carried away. Lets give that title to the greatest musician, and possibly a lunatic, Mozart.

I'll give you that, maybe Hendrix was the best musician of the 20th century.
I think I need to do some reading on Mozart. Why was he a lunatic?

I am not 100% sure of this, but some people say the guy was a lunatic. Like the music he thought up in his head was impossible to be played and stuff like that.

There are many rumors surrounding him though so I have to do some more research too.

^The fact that he thought up pieces that were impossible to play probably makes him more genius than insane.
Lets not forget that if Jimi started his career at the same time as someone like, say, Chuck Berry did, he would've been considered insane. The stuff he would've wanted to do would've been odd, guitarists were getting rid of any feed back on their recordings, not using it as a tool.
