In greatness? For sho, but this isn't greatness. While its easy to Hendrix takes this as well and I think he does, you're still being way too biased against Page because of the band he happens to play for. And lest we forget, you haven't been the most objective party. You did call Page one of the worst guitarists ever, which any guitar purist even if they hated Zep as much as you do will tell you is just plain idiotic.

Hendrix or Page...now there's a question. I'd say I'm a bigger fan of Hendrix than Page, although I'm not quite sure why. I think that although Page might have a more inventive riff library and tends to diversify a little more than Hendrix in his Led Zep work, Hendrix in his Experience work is just on fire creatively. While there are some Led Zep songs that the listener could sit through easily, I don't think there are many Hendrix tracks that could be treated with anything but a "Holy ****, he's good" (unless of course you dislike Hendrix's work). Hendrix seems to be full of passion and energy with every song he plays, whereas Page can get a little lax in the passion department.
That's my two cents, anyway. It might be worth nothing, but it's my opinion. |

There are quite a few tacks by Jimi that were rubbish, like 'Foxy Lady' and 'Purple Haze'
Jimi had the image. And to be honest i've seen Page live and he lacks the passion that Jimi had. He tends to look bored, and never wanders too far into originality when he's live, unlike Jimi who just played from the soul. Plus Jimi's acoustic recordings were far better than Page's

thats a big call there, i really liked those tracks. its easy from me, i always prefered hendrix. hendrix put soul into his songs and he had an amazing flow of creativity. Also his unquie guitar distortions added to the sound. but not saying page was bad, he had some great riffs
